Tickets can be booked online, over the phone and in person.

To avoid any unnecessary queueing we recommend you book before your visit.

You can use your e-ticket on your phone or print it at home to gain access to the screen.

The performance start time is the time on your ticket.

Please allow 20 minutes from this printed time for the adverts and trailers - unless otherwise specified.

Our phonelines are open Tuesday-Saturday 1.30pm-3pm & 8.15pm-9.15pm and Sunday 1.30pm-3pm & 7.15pm-8.15pm.

Please note our phone lines are closed on Monday.

Our doors open for in person bookings Tuesday-Sunday 12pm-4pm & 1 hour before the evening film.

Screen doors open 30 minutes before the advertised start time.

Gift Vouchers can be used as payment for cinema tickets both online and in-person and for refreshments sold in The Odyssey Cinema, St Albans.

All Gift Vouchers / Credit Notes due to expire before the end of September 2021 have been refreshed for a further year.

Your existing codes have been reactivated so you will not need to contact us directly.

• Gift Vouchers can be redeemed in person, by phone and online.
• Gift Vouchers are valid for 18 months from the date of issue and cannot be extended.
• Gift Vouchers purchased for The Odyssey Cinema cannot be redeemed at The Rex Berkhamsted.
• Gift Vouchers purchased in-person come with a card and envelope.
• By phone and online, vouchers will be sent to you via email which you can print at home or forward to the recipient.

Our website is set up to take payment with a Gift Voucher / Credit Note.

When you have selected your tickets and reached the payment stage:

'Payment - Order details', you will see the total cost and below that it will say:

GIFT VOUCHER, if you have a Gift Voucher Code / Credit Note in the form V-12345-XXX-XXX you can apply it now.

Enter your code and select 'APPLY'.

This will remove the value of your Gift Voucher / Credit Note from the total.

If you received a Credit Note for a cancelled film your voucher code will be within the 'Booking Confirmation - XXXXXX' email from hello@odysseypictures.co.uk

The Odyssey has done its best to be flexible during Covid and the restrictions it forced upon us. 

Due to the current economic climate we are reverting to our original strict policy of no exchange or transfers.

Thank you for your continued support to all local independent business.

If an event is cancelled and the cinema is unable to re-schedule it, advance tickets can be refunded.

The £2.50 booking fee online is not refundable.

Outside food and drink is not permitted in the cinema. Bringing in outside alcohol is a breach of our licence.

Birthday cakes (especially with candles) are not permitted in the cinema or foyer.

Our licence does not permit us to sell alcohol before midday.

The adverts and trailers run for approx. 20-25 mins from the screenings advertised start time.

To find the end time on the website - select the book button of the time of your screening and the end time will be listed next to the screening information.

Although we do not plan on having specific parent and baby screenings (the building is too big and dark to offer these) you are welcome to bring babies to U, PG, and 12A rated matinées (morning & afternoon performances before 5pm).

• Buggies can be left in the foyer during the film.
• Babies must be held in the screen.
• Disruptive babies should be taken out of the screen until they are settled - but if this is due to the film being too loud - please speak to a member of the team behind one of the bars and we can contact the projectionist to adjust this.

We offer comp carer tickets with a valid CEA card.

For selected films, a narration track is available which can be accessed through special headphones only.

This fills the gaps between dialogue by describing what is happening on screen

Please enquire on arrival and a member of our team can arrange a headset for you.

Concession tickets are available.

Concessions receive £1.50 off the standard ticket price only. These include- Under 18, Student and Over 60. Please note there are no concessions on matinees or on premium table seats.
