Aaron Sorkin, who won an Academy Award for the screenplay of The Social Network, returns to the behind the scenes world of Facebook, this time sitting in the directors chair.
The Social Reckoning tells the true story of Frances Haugen, a Facebook engineer who asks reporter Jeff Horowitz to help her expose the dark truths behind the popular social app.
With Jeremy Strong stepping in to portray an older (and even colder) Mark Zuckerberg, and Sorkin’s typically sublime writing skills in full effect, The Social Reckoning depicts the terrifying reality of not only Facebook, but the world of social media in its entirety. Recent Oscar winner Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen-White of The Bear fame work incredibly well together as two individuals going up against an industrial behemoth, making this timely follow-up to a modern classic one you won’t want to miss.
