Beloved by generations, The Sound of Music returns to the big screen as one of cinema’s most cherished musicals, a sweeping story of music, family and courage set against the stunning backdrop of 1930s Austria.
Julie Andrews stars as Maria, a spirited young novice sent to become governess to the seven children of the reserved Captain von Trapp. Through warmth, laughter and unforgettable songs, she brings joy back into their home and changes all their lives.
Directed by Robert Wise, this Academy Award-winning classic is rich in romance, resilience and soaring melodies - and, frankly, when the hills are alive, it would be rude not to join in. The Sound of Music is a heart-lifting big-screen experience for audiences of every generation to enjoy together.
