Enlisting the help of her ex-husband-cum-sleuthing partner Gabriel (Daniel Auteuil), her investigation leads her to unexpected conclusions. Drawing on Alfred Hitchcock and Brian De Palma at their most playful, this wildly enjoyable mystery-caper is as full of charm as its magnetic protagonist.
This modest romp allows Jodie Foster to perform in another language. And if you’ll watch Foster acting in anything, you’re gonna love watching her do it in French.
