Jeff Daniels stars as Dr Ross Jennings, who has recently moved to Canaima, California with his family to start a happy smalltown life. His suburban daydream is short-lived, however, as the town is soon invaded by a deadly Venezuelan spider species which deliver death and destruction wherever they can.
The film is well aware of its own corniness, but while it keeps a comedic tone, it doesn’t shy away from genuine creepy-crawly scares. The film intentionally echoes Hitchcock’s The Birds, delivering entertaining thrills that’ll have you hunting down cobwebs for weeks to come!
