Do you need a new friend?

When Klara, an Artificial Friend, is purchased by Josie, she leaves the shop window she’s known all her life and enters the real world. She has one purpose: to be the perfect friend to Josie. It’s what she was made for. In her new home, she observes her new human family with all their emotions and confusing behaviours, and learns where her dearest sun lives, the sun that gives her energy every day.

As Klara learns more about humans and about Josie, she discovers that her new home is not all it once seemed, and that humans are much more fragile than she is. Despite constant judgement, learning curves, and new emotions she cannot comprehend, the one thing Klara knows how to do is be a good friend, slowly bringing light and joy to those around her, as she was made to do.
