A jewel of France’s cultural crown since its founding in 1680, the Comédie-Française prides itself on never cancelling a show – leaving its producer Nina in a bind when her lead actor fails to materialise. As the hours before curtain for Macbeth count down, a chain of accidents, grievances, liaisons, and fights continues to accelerate: soon only quick thinking, and possibly a miracle, can keep the show together.
