“Camp Miasma” is a long-running slasher franchise, fueled by years of slap-dash sequels. When enthusiastic queer filmmaker Kris Williams (Einbinder) is hired to reboot the franchise, she becomes fixated on casting Billy Presley (Anderson) - the actress who played the final girl in the original film. But when Williams tracks down the reclusive actress, both women fall into a blood-drenched world of psychological and sexual chaos.
Jane Schoenbrun directs this psychological thriller, after their recent breakout success with I Saw The TV Glow in 2024, exploring similar themes of self-discovery and identity.
