After going on trips around America and Europe, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) was going to play it safe and spend the festive season at home, to ensure his wife and children have the best Christmas ever.
But things soon go awry as his uncouth cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) and his family arrive unannounced. What happens next is nothing short of a disaster.
