Former popstar and Doctor Who actress Billie Piper stars in her own directorial debut, a no-holds-barred anti-romcom about a modern woman in a crisis.

Mandy (Piper), is a career-driven single mother, estranged from her parents (Kerry Fox and David Thewlis), she mines the pain of their separation and pours herself into her writing - about a love that no longer exists.

Raising her son, Larch (Toby Woolf) in the midst of a female revolution, she falls upon a troubled man, Pete (Leo Bill), who is searching for a sense of worth and belonging.

Don’t miss Lily James’ cameo as a rather insufferable bride at a wedding which the fledging couple Mandy and Pete attend, with a laughable first dance between the "post-post-post feminist" and her equally awful groom.

Vivid, smart and refusing to compromise, Billie Piper is a vital voice in British filmmaking and her future in cinema looks incredibly bright.
