They’ve had many misfires trying to revive their line-up of classic monsters, but Universal have finally struck gold in this modern re-imagining of H.G. Wells classic tale.

When Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) finally manages to escape her abusive sociopathic husband, Adrian Griffin (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) he embarks on an extravagant campaign of revenge. After faking his own death, he uses his wealth and knowledge of hi-tech optical science to develop a suit which allows him to completely vanish from sight and become the titular Invisible Man. He then begins to use his new found ability to persecute Cecilia with a complex series of events until she becomes isolated from anyone who believes her claims… after all how could she be tormented by a man who no one can see?

Director Leigh Whannell (Upgrade) along with genre powerhouse Blumhouse Productions, bring a 21st century twist to the sci-fi classic, featuring an unforgettable performance from Moss who follows her star roles in Us and The Handmaid’s Tale with this blistering depiction of a desperate woman who will stop at nothing to prove her sanity and rid herself of the ghost of her past.
