As wholesomely goofy as its heroes, Bill and Ted Face the Music is a rare long-belated sequel that recaptures the franchise's original charm.

The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of Bill S. Preston Esquire (Alex Winter) and Ted “Theodore” Logan (Keanu Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it.

Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters (Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine), a new batch of historical figures (from Buddha to Babe Ruth), and a few music legends (including Jimi Hendrix and Louis Armstrong) - to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

Exceedingly good-natured and led by two actual sweetie-pies, Bill and Ted-with their mantra "be excellent to each other", are unexpectedly the exact heroes we need right now.
