Goldfinger is where James Bond as we know him comes into focus, featuring one of 007's most famous lines "A martini… Shaken, not stirred" and a wide range of gadgets that would become the series' trademark.
Guy Hamilton’s Pinewood-produced ‘Goldfinger’ is the first of four James Bond films he directed and the third to star Sean Connery as 007.
Secret agent, James Bond (Connery), is pitted against sinister bullion dealer, Auric Goldfinger (Gert Fröbe), believed responsible for the leakage of British gold. Bond must outwit and outgun the powerful tycoon to prevent him from cashing in on a devious scheme to raid Fort Knox - and obliterate the world's economy.
With Shirley Bassey’s operatic theme, the gizmo-infested Aston Martin, Shirley Eaton, killed with that magnificently macabre gold paint and Honor Blackman’s risquely monikered Pussy Galore, could this be the best entry in the 007 franchise?

In tribute to the late Honor Blackman (August 1925 – April 2020) and Sean Connery (August 1930 – October 2020).
